Located in the Widening of It(He,She) Loved, it is a work of the architect native of San Sebastian Manuel de Echave. The church includes a surface of 1.915 square meters and it was inaugurated in 1.897.

When the church was dedicated, Gipuzkoa was depending on the bishopric of Vitoria. On the diocese of San Sebastian having constituted in the year 1949, the church of the Good Shepherd was raised as Cathedral. Some modifications were executed for such a motive in the temple: the major original altar - from Neogothic style - was withdrawn, there being placed the image of the Good Shepherd that it(he,she) was incorporating in the niche of the apse and those of four Evangelists (Jose Llimona, 1864-1943) in the cruise.
